If you have a pet that still has accidents in the house, limit it's water by putting ice cubes in their water bowl after 6:00pm, so they don't feel they have to go to the bathroom every second. It works with my dog.

Has anyone considered taking the dog outside in the backyard or on a lead every two or three hours in the street/park? Also make 4 pm their last meal of the day.

Put a leash on the dog and it goes everywhere you do in the house. Be sure to feed it once daily only and monitor when it drinks. Be sure to get it outside before an hour has passed. Because the dog is constantly with you it may or may not try to use the carpet, but a sharp yank on the leash will give the dog a clear message that it's not supposed to do that.

I have a Jack Russell and a Russell/Yorkie who have been trained to toilet on puppy pads. As I haven't a garden it has been difficult to move the pads outside. How can I retrain them to toilet when I walk them outside only?

I have a 18 month old Pom and I almost had him toilet trained, but I have moved like 4 times in the last 2 years since I got him. I got him when he was 6 weeks old, and far as I'm concerned it was a rough time as well where he was living when he was born.
I try everything with him, he stays outside most of the time now coz when he is inside he wonders off an goes and pees on mine or my mum's bed. It is so frustrating because I would have just washed the sheets too. I just don't know what to do. We wanna train him to stay outside unless we say he can come in and we wanna do that with the door open, but he just comes in and pees.
He used to sleep inside on my bed, but then he just got lazy and would pee on it so from now on he has been an outside dog. He does not liked to be tired up or locked in a small area coz he just barks.
What can I do to fix it? I'm getting into trouble for him doing it when in the first place I didn't know how to toilet train him anyway because no one would help me.

I would not like a dog to pee on my bed either! You are going to have to start over with training again, but it can be fun! Make sure you keep the idea that the dog has fun and loves the training.
Little dogs can be a challenge. With these resources I am giving you, your little dog should be coming along in no time at all.
One of my favorite things to develop rapport is to sit down with the dog and just be quiet and see what happens. After a moment or two, I will hold my hand up, palm facing upwards, and when the doggie comes to investigate and accidentally touches his nose to your palm, then click with your mouth, a clicking sound, and then drop a treat on the floor, a small piece of a treat like a hot dog. Don't really talk, just sit there and click and treat when he touches your hand with his nose.
You might have to start with the treat in your hand, and then when he comes to get the treat, click as he is eating the small piece of hot dog. I would have about twenty pieces of the hot dog, and do this about twenty times at first. Just for building friendship but you are placing the importance of giving the treat only when the dog touches your palm of your hand with his nose or muzzle.
Anyway, here are some other things for you to consider:
These things will become a part of the doggies daily life, and will give him good thoughts as he goes to sleep at night....Please do have him have a vet check to make sure the dog doesn't have an infection causing him to pee all the time when he relaxes, this kind of thing can be mistaken for being messy in the house.
So here are some needed first steps you can take:
*A vets clean bill of health for why the dog is peeing so much.
*A crate, see the links I have provided on where to buy them.
*Piddle pads or newspaper with plastic put below them
*Treats, not the storebought kind, I would boil a bit of chicken and cut it up into tiny bits
that the dog can eat in a split second.
(There are places you can buy treats that are not a danger to pets like the ones from the
store. I like to use hot dogs but boiled chicken is better. Treats from china have been found to be hurting our animals from poisons being in them. It is a real shame not to be able to trust a dog treat you find at the store.)
* A clicker or you can use your mouth to make a clicking sound.
The dog is going to need a routine, and to get used to the routine.
When you are not able to watch the dog to see when he might need to go outside, which could be many times a day at first, or go to the piddle pad, then you will place him in the crate.
Dogs fuss a lot at first, sometimes, if they are not used to a crate and they are not trained to use it in a positive way. Dogs need their own den to feel at home at.
Dogs do not need to be out free in the house when they can't control themselves.
A dog that is free in the house before he is able to succeed is not going to be a happy dog at all, because there is so much going on and he needs to have a routine. In this way, you manage their environment in order to make it better for them and for you.

What are Piddle Pads?
Piddle pads, which are little pads that doggies can go on indoors on, they often have scents on them that will help the doggie to realize where to go at... You can kind of put down newspaper, or you can put down plastic and then magazine pages instead of buying these if you would want to make your own.

My dog (Calypso), a 9 month old Pit/wolf mix, has issues with potty training. I have had him since he was seven weeks old. He is crate trained, but busts out his huge cage now. He also goes to the bathroom everywhere if left alone for a few minutes. I want to leave him out as I'm afraid of someone breaking in.
But if I do he eats everything and potties. He is so hyper. I love my big boy and want him to be trained like my little dog. She loves him and is free roaming. But Calypso tears everything up. I need help. I have no intention of ever getting rid of him. I love him too much.
What a sweetie!!! Talk to your vet about this. One of my friends had a big boy with the same issues and the vet recommended puppy prozac. It worked! My mom had the same issue with her last boy (I see a trend here that all of the problem fur kids in my world are boys) and she (her vet) recommended a trainer that broke her Ernie of his issues.
The vet is your best bet for dealing with issues like this and finding a solution (medicine/trainer/etc.)
When it comes to health and my kids....I never take the advice of strangers with cures and solutions...that comes directly from their vet!

My dog always pees/poops in our house, and when I tried to walk him outside (morning, midday, night) he's always just sitting besides me. Does sitting have a meaning to poop or pee? How do I teach him to do his business outside?
You may have to go back to crate training him, or else make a point of training him to not do it. He probably does it because it's easier, he received no feedback from you that it was inappropriate, and the habit stuck.
The thing to do would be to catch him in the act, and with a firm but gentle voice startle him out of it (such as by saying NO!) and then quickly take him to the place where you want her to defecate.
When he successfully completes the poo, give him praise and a treat.
He needs to be rewarded when he does his business. He will then learn that this is the right thing to do.
I rescued a 1 year old Mini Pin. We are his first owners. He is doing fairly well with our other Mini Pin (also a boy) that we rescued from the street, and a 18 year old Maltese mix. However, the new dog goes poop in the middle of the night in my daughter's room.
