Listing this one in honor of my mom, who is the best cook I have ever known! This is one she likes a lot. :)
Bring peas, water, sugar and salt to a boil. Boil only a short time so peas are still green. Make a thickening of flour and milk. Stir into peas and bring back to a boil. It should be the consistency of gravy. Add more milk, if needed.
