Yesterday, when my husband and I returned home from work, we noticed our 16 year old cat was unable to stand and walk. I had noticed him limping for a few days, but he had always been one of those cats that spent his entire day jumping up and down.
We got Mittens when she was 10 weeks old. A family was moving and had 4 kittens they were looking for homes for.
We only had one cat and decided it was time for him to get a friend. We adopted Izzie from the local animal shelter as a kitten.
We adopted her after fostering her litter from our area Humane Society.
Trouble and Runt are both 3 months old. We got them on Christmas 2009. They like to sleep and play. We lost our baby, Lil Bit, in November and my dear sister-in-law gave us 2 for Christmas.
Pepper, our barn cat, has a habit of coming around our bird feeder to watch the birds. She is a young cat and her hunting skills are limited.
I got her from an ex boss. She doesn't like to do much anymore but still likes to play with a laser light.
He was a rescue from my neighborhood. The owners had moved away leaving him behind. 6 years later he is in my family now. He loves the outdoors when I am outside. He is so loving. When I come home from work he meets me at the door faithfully with a lovely greet!
I adopted him from a colony of ferals that became established in my yard around 1998. I vaccinated, spayed/neutered and rehomed approximately 50 cats and kittens, eliminating the colony before moving.
It was July, I went to check the mailbox and there was this little thing under my neighbor's car and I said "that looks like a cat." I started walking towards it and it shot right past me and all I saw was a white ball of fluff and a candy stripe tail.
