Choosing a Dog Breed

January 17, 2018

These mixes are such beautiful pups. How big do they get, what is their temperament? Are they good with children and lazybones with us older folks?

I have had both breeds and honestly, schnauzers are the terrier group. They bark a lot, but they are sweet and lovable with adults more so than children. They are possessive with their owners and want a lot of attention. They love chasing squirrels and birds.

Poodles are more loving to children. they are great lap dogs. they both are very, very smart. I feel if you get them as pups and raise them with your kids, they both are the perfect pets! Plus neither shed and are the lowest of lows for someone with allergies, both breeds are the perfect pets!

From what I understand, poodles are much better with children than schnauzers are.

A poodle is high maintenance needs grooming. They don't shed a lot so there is less hair. Easy to train. They need to be walked and exercised as do all dogs. The poodle is good for inexperienced people with dogs. Great for kids; fun, energetic, friendly and playful.

The Schnauzer needs to be professionally groomed. Doesn't shed much hair. Easy to train. Needs exercise walks, maybe runs at a dog park as all dogs need. It is better to be an experienced dog owner to deal with this breed. Great with kids.
They both sound like a good breed I would go with the poodle if you do not have much experience with dog's.
