How can I get nicotine color and smell out of a wicker bedroom set? Please help!
Getting nicotine off wicker.
Step 1
Take outside and mix 1/2 vinegar and water with tsp of dawn dish soap.
Step 2
Spray the whole piece of wicker and scrub with a sponge.
Step 3
Then rinse with a hose if you can.
Step 4
Repeat and dry well with a towel.
There are several different types of furniture that is called "wicker" so it would be best to know what type you have before you start.

When I look at my photos, the furniture doesn't look yellow, but it is. My husband and I both smoked for years and the wood went from nearly white to very yellow.
It's just the finish that's stained. I want to do it myself. Is there a miracle product that removes the top layer of finish?

How do I remove nicotine and cigarette smell from a large wood hutch? I have tried a wood cleaner and some came off. It is so thick you can feel it. But I am afraid of ruining the hutch; it's my mother's. It is so bad I won't bring it in my home. Please help. There has to be a way to remove this.

Depending on what other liquid cleaners you have used, the way you describe the problem sounds more like you have cleaned/stripped the varnish off along with the nicotine! You may have to strip it all down now and start all over again with new stain and polyurethane or varnish OR, you could just paint it any color you desire!!
Use any good brand of chalk paint like Annie Sloan or Dixie Belle and you won't have to prime it. I recommend Dixie Belle...great coverage!

TSP or Trisodim Phosphate is a liquid or powder that you dilute with water. It's amazing for ridding walls, floors, and furniture from nicotine stink and color. It's in any houswares dept.

A solution of half water-half vinegar will work too. Use a dampened cloth to lightly wipe the upholstered parts of the furniture. It may take a few times to completely rid the furniture of the stench, but the vinegar and water will do the trick.
I have nicotine embedded in my bedroom furniture. I'd like to know how to remove it. It's wood furniture.
Just fyi, it's the tar you see. Nicotine is colorless, looks like water. I know, I'm no help at all! Good luck and good for you for wanting to do this!
I feal for you..wish i could give you an easy solution but I too am having the same problem on white wood furniture..what a nightmate...the closest thing to even sligjtly working was oven cleaner
