Removing a Wart

April 23, 2012

removing a wartMany years ago I read somewhere about using a Vitamin C tablet and water to remove a wart. I had a wart frozen from my wrist, and years later it came back. I tried the Vitamin C tablet and water and the wart disappeared. Use enough water on the Vitamin C tablet to make a paste. Apply the paste on the wart, cover with a bandaid, and leave it alone. Re-apply as needed and in a week or so the wart will be gone.

I am 17 years old. Recently when I went and stayed with my best friend I noticed that I started getting a wart on my big toe. So of course I picked at it. She is the only person I've been around that has warts, but she said hers were "viral". I want to get rid of them. Help me, please.

Soak a piece of a cotton ball with white vinegar and wring out. Place on the wart and secure with duct tape making sure no air pockets remain. remove every day and re-apply daily.

The skin will turn white the first couple of days but eventually it will turn dark and wart will fall off. Good luck.

You may recall a few years ago it was reported in the media that using duct tape on a wart for 2 weeks would remove the wart. Why not try it and report the results on thriftyfun.

I have a seed wart on my foot, right below the ball of the big toe. I need to get ride of it. I tried picking it off, but it didn't work. And now it is split open. I don't like how it feels. And I'm scared that if I try touching it with any other part of my body that there will be more.

After the seed wart is open, put iodine on it so it seeps down into the wart. You will be able to see the iodine going dow into it.

Appy the iodine several times if need be. The wart will eventually disappear. This worked for me. Hope this helps.

Put a piece of duct tape on it . Change it out every couple of days. The constant pressure will get rid of it. It may take about 8 weeks. Don't touch the wart it can spread.

I have a wart that keeps coming back on my thumb. It takes months to get rid of, it will be gone for a couple years, and then it comes back in the exact same spot. Does anyone know the cause of this and/or how I can stop it for good?

I've had this wart on my left knee for some time now. I've gone to the doctor to have him freeze it, but it didn't work. I've tried duct tape and Compound W, not to mention everything in between. I even tried the Freeze Away at home stuff. Nothing works! How do I get rid of it? I can't go to the doctor anymore because they've frozen it so much and they won't help me. Please help!

I never knew that one wart can be the mother of all the rest, or that they are contagious. So, check it out and see if this helps.

Try full strength lemon juice, swabbing the wart several times a day. It really does work. Cleared up my son's wart on a toe.

You could use a pumice on warts to remove them but over time they will grow back. You could try some over the counter products at the pharmacy. Best bet to remove them permanently is have have a dermatologist remove them with liquid nitrogen.

They do this in their office and only takes a minute or two.

Three ways to get rid of wart without "chemicals".
1. Duct tape
2. Potato piece on wart, hold it on with a band-aid or tape, change at least every other day. Takes 2-3 weeks, skin will be new and no scar.

3. Dandelion milk from the stem of the flower. Squeeze on warts two to three times/day. Wart turn black and will just fall off leaving skin unscarred. Of course you need dandelions in season.

I used methods 2 and 3 with two of my children. It has been at least 6 years and no regrowth, however because it is a virus, it can show itself again.

I just read an archived post on homemade wart remedies. A lot of suggestions were offered. Surgery, plant extracts, duct tape, even rubbing a penny on the wart.
