I have a white leather sofa and my dog got sick on it while I was at work and so now it has a yellow stain on it. I have tried tooth paste and also baking soda to remove the stain, but no luck. Is there any thing else that I can try?
try lemon juice and salt, then put it out in the sun for several hours to remove the stain.
I meant to say leave the lemon juice and salt on it while setting it out in the sun.
Try a little saddle soap or another leather cleaner, but first read the label regarding its safety for use on your particular kind of leather. You may also try removing the stain with lukewarm water and a gentle shampoo. If the finish is getting thin on the leather, touch it up with a little white baby shoe polish.

Hello Rocky,
In regards to your leather stained sofa seeing that it is new, did you purchase a warranty on stains? If so, my advise would be to contact your warranty service and have this taken care of professionally and leave the problem in their hands. If you had not purchased a warranty then the problem lies on you.
If your leather is (Protected/Pigmented):
Use the same steps as Aniline
If your leather is (Nubuck):
Step 1. Use Nubuck Cloth
Step 2. Apply Leather Degreaser
Step 3. Foam Cleaner
Step 4. Use Nubuck Cloth
Step 5. Apply Eco Protector
Dry in between steps with hair dryer

Are cream colored leather sofas hard to keep clean? We are purchasing one next week and I am worried about keeping it clean? How it will wear, being that it is cream colored?
By theresa mack from Montalba, TX
I have had a cream leather sofa for about ten years and find it very easy to care for. I simply dust it with a dry cloth most of the time. Any spots may be easily wiped off, I use a damp cloth, not wet!
Using a small cell sponge to clean your leather. It will give the same advantage as using a foaming cleaner. Rinse it well.
How can I clean my light color leather sofa without damaging it? I was told to dissolve a few drops of dishwashing liquid in water and use a sponge to wash it and then just dry it.
Include your leather sofa in your weekly house cleaning. A basic vacuum and wipe over will reduce oil and dirt build up.
To clean a leather settee, don't buy all the expensive cleaning products, buy some soap that you wash your hands with. Get a bucket of warm water, wet the soap and rub the soap onto the leather with a wet cloth it brings out all the dirt, etc.
How do you clean a cream leather sofa? What can I use other than leather cleaner?

How do I clean mildew off a leather settee? I have tried Stardrops; this does not work. I also tried furniture polish; this did not work.
By Julia
It can not be done. Don't put your family at risk. Throw it away.
Try saddle soap, it works on my horses saddle if it's been left in the tack room for a while

I have a light color leather couch and can't find anything that will clean it without harming the leather.

Try a feed store or Tack (for horses) shop and get saddle soap, jsut follow directions. It's made for cleaning leather safely. Yes it does involve getting the leather wet, and, you may need to get Neets foot oil or another leather conditioner and, a protective spray to keep the sofa soft, and, minimize future cleanings but, it won't change to color or damage the leather.
I have no idea what took the color out of my leather couch on the head area. I wiped down the entire couch with the cleaner provided by manufacturer and it took the color off the head area only.

It is obviously not the cleaner, but whatever hair products that you have been using. I don't think there is anything that can be done about this.
When my sofa started to loose colour at the head, I washed it in soapy water. Must of rubbed too hard, as the head area ended up completely removed. Had to call in a professional to put a complete new piece of leather on the back of sofa. He informed me that the area lost its colour due to grease coming of husbands head, made worse by having little hair!
