I sliced the arm of our microfiber love seat. Is this something I can repair or do I need to find a shop to repair the cut?
Depending on the size of the cut, they do sell patch repair kits. You may be able to sew or fabric glue.
A photo may be able to help.
If the repair doesn't look as nice, you could also buy a sofa cover, or a blanket or pillow could cover it up.
You might be able to take a piece from the back or bottom and put a patch underneath the cut.
They have fabric patching,or under stitching it,all items sold at fabric stores or Walmart!
Thanks for posting a photo. A patch may be your best bet since it is so large. Talk to the folks at one of the big box sewing/craft stores so you can find the right product in the right color.
Post back with an update!
Since this is such a long cut you may wish to try two methods.
There are two methods and both will work but most likely, neither one will look very good.
Either method will require a visit to a large sewing/craft store like Michael's or JoAnn's as you will need to pick up your supplies before you begin your repairs.
Many people use the sewing method which will repair the cut but may not be very pretty.

If you decide to go with a patch repair kit (fusible web) this may require a trip to more than one store to find the closest color match. Be very sure to completely read directions before you begin and follow through without omitting a step.
I would go under the chair and find some excess material that is at the bottom. Cut off some small pieces and get some fabric glue. You will need to place the pieces under the cut and glue them in place. You may still see the cut but it will help it from ripping more.

I have two tears in a fairly new microfiber sofa. One is about 3 inches, the other is 2 1/2 inches. How can I repair this?
I have a microfiber sectional sofa that now has a small tear in it. Wondering what I can use to repair this. It has not gone all the way through the cushion fabric that I can tell.
