Watermelon Stone Paperweights

By attosa

Watermelon Stone Paperweights - finished watermelon stonesI made these stone paperweights to hold our napkins down for when we eat outside during our summer barbecues. To make them, you just need stones that are triangular or oval in shape, then paint them as if they are wedges of watermelon, or the whole darn fruit. Don't they look delicious?

Hershey Bar Wrapper Duct Tape Purse

By Bonnie

hersey bar duct tape bagTo make this purse, I used Hershey bar wrappers and duct tape. I did use some dectorative paper inside to make the pockets a little showy. It was fun and all the kids ask me where I got it and it is very durable.

Clay Octopus

By Brianna Southworth

Clay OctopusI use a lot of different colors of polymer clay in my jewelry-making, which inevitably means that I end up after a bit of time with otherwise, inadequate scraps in every color. Don't throw out those pieces! Ball them together and make this charming octopus fellow.

Styrofoam Stars

By melody_yesterday

Styrofoam StarsMake Styrofoam plates into cute hanging stars after rinsing and letting dry (or brushing off crumbs). I used a stencil of a star for my patterns and cut these out using craft scissors. They are strung on regular sewing thread with a few beads at the top.

Stained Glass Yard Light

By Karen Locey

Stained Glass Yard LightI bought this stained glass lamp shade at a garage sale, and the table base at a different sale. I bought a solar rope light and coiled it around a clear glass vase, and put it under the lamp shade.

Crochet Venetian Leaf Towel Topper

By Fortunately

Venetian Leaf Crocheted Towel TopperI like the towel toppers that have a concealed crochet chain so you can hang a towel over the chain without having to cut the towel in half and deal with the cut edge.
