Gluten Free Banana Bread

By littergitter

A slice of gluten free banana bread. When I have extra bananas that are going to get too ripe for eating, I use them to make banana bread or freeze them for smoothies or to just munch on. This is a recipe I got from a friend years ago, when I first found out I had Celiac disease. The bread comes out moist, but not too moist. It is great as a snack or served with ice cream for dessert.

Mom's Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

By Holly

Chocolate Chip Cookies on plateThese cookies are so good it's hard to find words to describe them! They're not too gooey, not to crisp, not too sweet... just right. My mother tweaked the recipe from a Martha Stewart magazine, adding a tablespoon of vanilla and playing with the measurements until it was both practical and perfect! I like to save making them for a cold winter day, and to eat a couple while they're still warm from the oven. But they taste great any time!

A lime section with the pointy end cut off.My friend who is an avid cook showed me this the other day. Cut the very tips of your citrus fruits off before putting them into a juicer. Instead of catching some of the liquid in the closed ends, the juice will squirt all the way through. Flip over and do it again. Nothing goes to waste.
