Impatiens Bed From Scrap Materials

The north side of my house is one unbroken line. It is the side most visible to others. With almost no direct sun light reaching the area, and little growing there, it detracted from the rest of the house. So, I created a bed for my impatiens from scrap materials.

If you grow thunbergia in a pot, once the season is done, bring the plant inside and let it die. It will make a mess while it's dying, but you'll find the broken open seed pods and lots of seeds.

This yellow jacket stayed on my porch for at least an hour one day. He was so friendly that I was able to get multiple shots of him. I thought he looked really pretty when he buzzed over and landed on one of my husband's young viola blossoms.

I have 3 solutions, all rethinking the problem. First, don't get rid of the clover. It's a legume, and is normally there as part of a grass stand, keeping your soil fertile. You'll learn to love it.

In the Path Garden I made a place for visitors to stop and rest if they want to. Two green chairs were donated. I painted flowers on the chairs and wrote "Stop and Rest in the Garden Chair" across the top and "Please Do Not Remove" across the bottom.

Fall Clematis Container Gardening

I love gardening. I have been planting a lot more perennials lately as we are retired and gone quite a bit during growing season. I also do a lot of container gardening. Hope you like my pictures. The flowers on the fence is one plant. It is a Fall Clematis. Very hardy and smells wonderful.
