This is a hearty, filling, and inexpensive casserole. At first, my daughter was leery to try it because she thought rutabagas would taste bad. She was delighted to find they are a little on the sweet side.

When I have extra bananas that are going to get too ripe for eating, I use them to make banana bread or freeze them for smoothies or to just munch on. This is a recipe I got from a friend years ago, when I first found out I had Celiac disease. The bread comes out moist, but not too moist. It is great as a snack or served with ice cream for dessert.
Crockpot for Simple Spaghetti Squash
By Donna
You may leave your whole spaghetti squash in your crock pot with a 1/2 cup of water for 3 hours on low and when you want to, simply cut it open and scoop out the seeds then shred the squash meat into spaghetti noodles!

My husband calls this the epitome of Thriftyfun recipes. When you peel your potatoes, don't throw out the skins. Instead, make this super easy, super yummy appetizer. It only takes a few ingredients. As a bonus, potato skins contain all the best health benefits, packed with B vitamins, vitamin C, potassium and calcium. Score!

When I want some comfort food, this fits the bill. I've tried lots of alfredo sauces and was never quite happy with them. One day, I didn't have enough cream and used some milk. It turned out so delicious (and cheaper). My husband said it was the best fettuccine alfredo he had ever eaten. It's even good the next day. Most alfredo sauces break down and turn into a butter sauce when you reheat them, but this stays creamy. What a happy accident!

Here are instructions to creating the perfect pasta. These are hints I have read about from many different Italian chefs. If you can boil water, you can make perfect pasta.
No More Soggy Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
By Pam T
When my son makes grilled cheese sandwiches, he cuts them diagonally and sets them on the cut edge! No more sandwiches with one side that is damp from sitting on the plate.

I came up with this tray from a thrift shop. I put three canisters in it with sugar, bulk tea, and mocha flavored mix. I also have teas, sweetener packets, my coffee singles, and a carafe of brewed coffee or tea.
