Clearing a Clogged Sink Drain
My bathroom sink had been draining slowing for a while and it was finally time to figure it out. I found a recipe on ThriftyFun for homemade Drano, using salt, baking soda, vinegar and water. It didn't go quite as planned but we were successful in the end.
Line Toaster Oven Pan
I line my crumb tray/drip pan with aluminum foil. It makes it an easy breezy clean up if there are any crumbs, drips/spills - it'll be an easy clean up. No need to scrub the original crumb tray/drip pan.
Use Listerine as a Glass Cleaner
Use Listerine to clean glass. If you haven't tried it you should! I use this on glass, countertops, pet messes, and toilets. It's very inexpensive and all you need is a spray bottle with half Listerine and half water. You can use it liberally on any surface. It will not smear or leave streaks and has a pleasant smell.
Extra Sheet on Guest Bed
After washing the dusty spread on the bed in the spare bedroom, I thought about using one of the extra sheets, I have accumulated, to cover the bed to keep it from getting dusty.
Magic Eraser to Clean Glass Cookware
Don't scrub your glass cookware to clean off baked on food. The Magic Eraser (or knockoff) will remove it in seconds.
Double Your Kitchen Gloves
I buy my kitchen gloves at the Dollar Tree. They never have a size small and they don't last as long as the other brands.
Lint Roller Pickup
Use a lint roller on your carpeted steps in between your regular vacuuming.
