Athena (American Shorthair Tabby)
I got her at the Animal Foundation (humane society) 3 weeks ago. She likes to play with her mouse.
My husband and I adopted Louie from the Huntsville animal shelter, here in North Alabama. Louie loves to shred every toy he gets! However, that does not stop him from playing with the carcasses of the toys he has de-stuffed.
Cookie (Pit Bull)
My mom's uncle had a blue nose Pit and a red nose Pit and they had babies so he let us have one. We got her when she was about 2 weeks old.
Solaris (Orange Tabby)
I got her at a PetSmart's Adoption Center. Solaris likes to cuddle; a lot. When I am lying in bed at my computer, she lies with her paws over my arm and gently kneads on my arm. I have perpetual, tiny scratches on my left arm. Luckily, she doesn't flex those murder mittens too hard!
Kona (Yorkie Chihuahua Mix)
My husband and I had been talking about having a puppy for a while, but we never had the courage to get one. So I've been dog sitting a few times because I was home full time. The week of our first year anniversary I asked my husband if we could go look at a puppy I found on Craigslist.
Reuben came to me from a breeder in Pasco County. He was the last one left. We've been together since March 8! Reuben is a mischief maker extraordinaire. He is constantly running off with something to hoard in his crate. Something he shouldn't have.
Baby (Cornish Rex and Tabby)
My husband adopted our cat Baby a few years before we met. After his marriage ended he wanted someone to keep him company, but most of all he wanted to feel needed and loved again. As you can see from the photo, Baby is a paw drinker.
Pinkus Zuckerman (Mixed Breed Cat)
He strayed into our country yard and chose us! He likes to sleep in weird places. He changes his napping spot every 4 days or so. He also loves the sunshine and follows it around the house.
My stepmom give her to me when she was 6 weeks old. My stepmom wanted me to have a companion due to my health issues and because I was getting worse.
My daughter lived with her dad and wanted a kitten so I told her she could get one. We got her at 6 weeks old. Well the kitten got attached to me and is now a full grown kitty and is now like one of my kids.
